Daisy BB Gun Championships -- Monday, July 5, 2010
The 2010 Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match was held this 4th of July weekend at Rogers High School. This is the first time that the match has been hosted in Rogers and is the oldest and largest national BB gun match. Athletes, coaches, and families from 43 teams, representing 18 states came out for the competition.
The athletes, ages 8-15, were all required to take a "Take Aim At Safety" test. Each team consisted of five team members as well as up to 2 team alternate members. Each athlete shot in four positions with a total of 10 shots fired in each position. The positions in the match were standing, sitting, kneeling, and prone from a distance of 5 meters.
The 2010 Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match Team winners were as follows: Taking home the Bronze Medal was the Penns Valley Shooting Team from Spring Mills, PA, with a team score of 2355.25 out of a possible score of 2500.
